Hybrid and electric new auto loan discount
Members buying a certified hybrid or electric new car, truck or SUV can receive a 0.25 percentage point reduction in their loan rate.

Members Heritage Credit Union lends you money to buy a new vehicle from a dealership. You repay the loan at a fixed interest rate over an agreed term of up to 84 months. The available term depends on the loan amount, vehicle and your credit report.
You may borrow up to the full value of the vehicle. The hybrid or electric vehicle must be certified to receive the rate discount. The published vehicle loan annual percentage rate (APR) starts at 5.49% in the October 1, 2026 schedule; your rate depends on your creditworthiness, and published rates can change. The 0.25 percentage point benefit reduces your loan rate rather than the vehicle price.
There are no application or processing fees, and you can pay off the loan early without a prepayment penalty.
Eligibility
- You must be a credit union member. New membership is available if you live, work, worship, attend school or have family in any of these Kentucky counties: Anderson, Bath, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Estill, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Menifee, Mercer, Montgomery, Morgan, Nicholas, Powell, Rowan, Scott or Woodford. Existing membership continues if you change jobs, move to another state or retire.
- Open a share savings account with a $5 deposit to join. You need a valid photo ID, Social Security number, proof of residency and the opening deposit. For immediate membership at a branch, bring unexpired government-issued picture ID with your current address; bring a utility bill with the correct address if your ID has an incorrect address.
- Buy a certified hybrid or electric new car, truck or SUV from a dealership. The New Auto Loan excludes RVs, motorcycles and ATVs.
- Your credit report affects the available term and your creditworthiness affects the rate.

Join Members Heritage Credit Union online or at a branch if you are not yet a member. Apply for the auto loan online through its official new auto loan page, by visiting a branch, by calling 859.259.3466 or 800.359.3466, or through a participating dealership. For a direct application, the credit union recommends applying for pre-qualification before visiting the dealership.
