Electric$ense energy-efficiency rebates
PPCS members can receive electricity-bill credits for qualifying heat pumps, heat-pump water heaters, lighting and audit-recommended home or farm improvements.
Ez a lehetőség jelenleg angolul érhető el.
Rebates are credited to your member electricity account and cannot exceed equipment cost.
Air-source and mini-split heat pumps receive $200 per ton of heating/cooling capacity; geothermal heat pumps receive $400 per ton. A ton is 12,000 British thermal units per hour. The form rounds sizes below one ton up to the nearest quarter ton and sizes above one ton up to the nearest half ton. Integrated all-in-one heat-pump water heaters receive $700.
For homes and farms, improvements recommended by a qualifying energy audit receive up to $500 for materials and professional labour. The audit itself is excluded.
Lighting rebates cover up to 50% of equipment cost: $0.50 per LED bulb, $5 per LED exit sign, $0.50 per 800 lumens of LED fixture output, and $5 per occupancy sensor. Bulb requests must include at least five bulbs. Fixture incentives are for non-residential installations; occupancy sensors exclude motion-detector bulbs and fixtures.
Eligibility
You must be a PPCS member, and equipment must be installed on the cooperative’s electric lines. Equipment must be purchased and/or installed in 2026. Heat pumps and heat-pump water heaters must be new and connected to PPCS load management (cooperative control of participating equipment). Lighting equipment must also be new. You cannot claim both a heat pump incentive and an incentive for a component within the same heat pump.
Air-source and mini-split heat pumps need seasonal efficiency ratings of SEER2 at least 14.3 and HSPF2 at least 7.5, or SEER at least 15 and HSPF at least 8.8. These are the cooling and heating ratings specified on the incentive form. Integrated heat-pump water heaters need a Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) of at least 2.20, the form’s efficiency rating for the water heater.
Audit improvements are limited to homes and farms on cooperative lines. The cooperative or its approved partner must arrange a comprehensive audit with a written report. The report must recommend the improvements and indicate reduced electricity or delivered fossil-fuel use, or improved efficiency. Complete the improvements within 24 months of the audit. Each member account can receive this incentive only once every five years, regardless of the number of audits or improvements. If another incentive is available for an improvement, only that other incentive applies.
Additional eligibility criteria may apply, and PPCS may change or cancel the programme without notice.

Audit improvements need the audit documents and proof of implementation and completion date. Non-residential lighting fixtures need packaging or documentation showing light output in lumens.
Submit within three months of purchase and/or installation under the overview terms. Forms also specify three months from installation for water heaters and heat pumps, completion for audit improvements, and purchase for lighting.
