RES+ solar grant for farmed land

State Environmental Fund of the Czech RepublicCechiachiude 30 giu 2027

A grant for registered agricultural entrepreneurs installing solar panels alongside continued farming in Czechia, with optional battery storage.

Questa opportunità è attualmente disponibile in inglese.

RES+ supports new agrivoltaic installations: solar panels on land that remains under agricultural cultivation. Installations must have one grid delivery point and capacity from 10 kWp to 1 MWp.

The grant covers at most 30 % of eligible investment expenditure. AIS SFŽP ČR also calculates a maximum from the solar capacity and any usable battery capacity; the amount must satisfy both limits. Batteries qualify only with a new solar installation, behind its meter, and must receive at least 75 % of their annual energy from it. Supported usable battery capacity is 0.2–1 kWh per kWp of directly connected solar capacity; a larger battery leads to a proportionate grant reduction.

Used equipment, property purchases, operating and staff costs, loan repayments and interest are excluded. VAT qualifies only where you cannot deduct it; a later entitlement requires repayment of the relevant grant even if you do not claim the deduction. Other public funding must be reported to the fund and cannot pay twice for the same eligible expenditure.

Eligibility

  • You must be an agricultural entrepreneur registered in EZP, the Czech agricultural-business register, and farm agricultural land recorded in LPIS, the land-parcel register. You must hold or obtain an electricity-generation licence, contract a licensed operator for at least the nine-year sustainability period, or fall outside the legal licensing requirement.
  • Projects must be in Czechia. Eligible land cultures are vineyards, hop gardens, orchards, nurseries, container-growing areas and truffle-growing areas. Standard arable land qualifies if at least 90 % of the land-block area received support for high- or very-high-labour vegetable production at least once in the three preceding subsidy periods. That condition must continue to be met over successive periods throughout operation. Temporary fallow is allowed while an eligible perennial culture is established, renewed or changed: establishment must finish within two years of project-start; renewal or change within two years of the corresponding LPIS update.
  • You cannot be insolvent, in liquidation, behind on taxes or public-budget obligations, or a company in the call’s specified conflict of interest. The latter includes at least 25 % ownership by a public official covered by § 2(1)(c) of Act 159/2006 Sb. or a person they control. Companies must disclose ownership and beneficial owners.
  • You must not be an “undertaking in difficulty” under the fund’s financial-health rules. These examine capital lost through accumulated losses, insolvency, unresolved rescue/restructuring aid and, for large firms, debt and interest-coverage ratios. Applicable tests vary by legal form, size and age, including exemptions from capital-loss tests for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) younger than three years. Where relevant, your linked business group must pass too. Submit the current financial records and size/group annex required by the fund; its calculator helps you check before applying.
  • Solar capacity cannot exceed your grid-connection agreement. For a medium/high-voltage distribution or transmission connection, the agreement must permit uncompensated limits on reserved export capacity; this requirement does not apply to a local distribution system. The installation must be removable under an approved land-restoration plan.
  • Equipment needs accredited certification under the call’s standards. At standard test conditions (with zero bifacial gain), minimum panel efficiency is 21 % for monocrystalline monofacial panels and all bifacial panels, 20 % for multicrystalline monofacial panels and 12 % for thin-film panels; special products/uses have no set panel threshold. Inverters need 97 % Euro efficiency and controllable output. Panels need a 25-year linear output warranty to at least 80 % and a 12-year product warranty; inverters need 10-year replacement cover. Batteries need at least 80 % nominal capacity after 10 years or a lifetime energy delivery of 2,400 times nominal capacity. Lead and NiCd batteries need verified closed-cycle recycling: at least 65 % overall/97 % lead, or 75 % overall/99 % cadmium. Other battery technologies do not require proof of subsequent disposal.
  • Maintain the funded installation for nine years after submitting the final-evaluation documents. Use qualified technical supervision during construction, report progress annually by 15 January, meet the project’s binding performance indicators and follow the fund’s publicity and project-change approval requirements.
  • Under GBER, you and the relevant linked/partner business group must have no unpaid order to repay unlawful incompatible state aid. If the funded installation is jointly owned, all co-owners must be eligible recipients and consent to the project and its continuing operation. Notify the fund of pledges or other legal burdens that may jeopardise the project, including during the sustainability period; the fund assesses them.

How to apply

  • Intake ends early if the reserve queue fills.

Submit the application and attachments electronically through AIS SFŽP ČR at zadosti.sfzp.cz. Prepare the grid-connection agreement or future agreement, the published grant calculation, applicable building-procedure evidence and agricultural-soil consent, land-use rights lasting through the sustainability period if you do not own the site, and the required financial-health and ownership documents. Arable-land applicants also provide the relevant vegetable-support decisions.

For support under the General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER), apply before construction starts or you make the first binding equipment order or another commitment that makes the investment irreversible, whichever occurs first. Sending a procurement award-selection notice counts as an irreversible step. Preliminary feasibility studies, land purchases and obtaining permits do not count as starting work. The call alternatively permits de minimis aid, which requires a declaration of previous de minimis support and retains the same 30 % ceiling. Total de minimis aid to one undertaking cannot exceed EUR 300,000 over three successive one-year periods; under that route costs incurred after 1 January 2025 can qualify.

The fund processes complete eligible applications in registration order, subject to available funding. Intake closes early if its reserve queue fills. Payment follows an effective grant contract and evidence of paid eligible expenditure. Submit payment documents before final-evaluation documents. The call sets a three-year completion period: follow the completion deadline recorded in the ministerial funding decision and submit the final-evaluation documents, including evidence of permanent operation. Request any extension before the original deadline expires.
