Roof and floor insulation grant

Municipality of LansingerlandPaesi Bassifino a 1,5K EUR

Owners of poorly insulated houses in Lansingerland can receive 50% of eligible roof or floor insulation costs, including materials for DIY work.

Questa opportunità è attualmente disponibile in inglese.

Insulate your existing roof, the floor of an unheated loft, or the floor or ground beneath your home. The work must insulate the existing thermal envelope: the boundary between heated rooms and outside, the ground or unheated spaces. This route is for owner-occupied houses with energy label D, E, F or G, built before 1992. The municipality reimburses eligible materials and professional installation after the work; DIY support covers insulation materials only.

One insulation measure receives up to €1,500; two or more receive up to €2,000, always limited to 50% of eligible costs including VAT. This scheme and the municipal collective insulation purchase contribution together cover at most two measures and €2,000 per home over the programme. Finishing materials, new extensions and your own labour are excluded. Costs eligible for another public subsidy are excluded, except ISDE, the national grant for energy-saving measures. ISDE can be combined with this grant when an insulation company carries out the work; DIY work does not qualify for ISDE.

For exterior roof insulation carried out by a construction company, eligible costs also include wildlife-protection materials and labour used before insulating. These costs must be separately itemised in the quote and invoice.

Eligibility

  • You must own and live in the house, or make it your main home immediately after renovation. This route covers existing houses with energy label D–G in Lansingerland, built before 1992; the home and work must comply with the municipal land-use plan. The conditions below cover houses that are not listed monuments and are not part of an owners’ association (VvE), housing association or housing cooperative.
  • Roof or loft-floor insulation must cover at least 20 m². Loft-floor insulation qualifies when the loft is unheated. Floor or ground insulation must cover at least 20 m². Both need insulation material with an Rd value of at least 3.5 m²K/W: this measures the material’s resistance to heat loss. The municipality may approve a smaller area. Locally sprayed PIR or PUR foam must use HFC-free blowing agents.
  • Apply before carrying out the work. You are responsible for obtaining required permits; a grant award is not a building or wildlife permit. Include any required permit, or evidence that a wildlife permit is unnecessary.
  • For exterior insulation of a sloping roof, current municipal instructions require an ecological survey and a flora-and-fauna permit from Province Zuid-Holland. If the municipality obtains an area permit, the individual requirement ends but work must be notified to the municipality. On a flat roof, do not disturb a nest found during the breeding season.
  • If a contractor carries out the work, it must be registered in the construction sector of a trade register in an EU or EEA state.

How to apply

Restrizioni del bando
  • Submit before 15 March 2027; applications on or after that date are refused.
  • Available while the budget lasts; complete applications are funded in order of arrival.
  • Apply before carrying out work.

Apply to Gemeente Lansingerland through the DigiD form linked from its official subsidy page, before starting work. Submit an itemised quote identifying the measure, brand, insulation value, area, installation date and separate material and labour costs; for DIY, submit a materials budget. Include a declaration that municipal funding has not previously been requested or received for the same insulation measure. Include the available energy label, required permits and wildlife-permission evidence. Complete applications receive funding in order of arrival while funds remain.

Complete the work and request final determination within 20 weeks. The municipal application instructions count these 20 weeks from your initial application. Submit the final request by 1 October 2027, with itemised invoices or DIY receipts, proof of payment and photos of materials, installation and the result. For exterior roof insulation, also include photos of wildlife-protection measures taken before insulating. The municipality pays afterwards and gives no advance.

Notify the municipality promptly in writing if work or grant obligations cannot be met. Non-compliance or late completion can reduce the award. The municipal FAQ says a missed 20-week final request leads to a zero award; a new application must be made before starting the work. If the municipality recovers a grant, repay it within eight weeks of the determination decision unless that decision specifies otherwise.
