The fund backs technologies that can reduce emissions as they scale. Its focus sectors are energy, industry, food and agriculture.
Eligibility
Your company must be raising a seed, Series A or Series B funding round. These are successive venture-capital rounds as a company develops and grows. Its technology must have the potential to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions significantly over the next two decades. It also needs to differ meaningfully from alternatives and address a market large enough for venture investment.
Before investing, World Fund conducts a climate assessment. The fund estimates how much greenhouse-gas emissions the technology could avoid. This includes a life-cycle assessment, which considers the technology's effects across its life. World Fund also assesses environmental and social effects, and whether the technology supports renewable energy, circular use of materials, regenerative systems, and climate and social equity.
