Green mortgage

DNBNorvegia

Buy an A- or B-rated energy-efficient home, refinance its mortgage or increase your existing home loan.

Questa opportunità è attualmente disponibile in inglese.

The green mortgage is a repayable home loan with a variable interest rate. DNB assesses your rate using the loan size, your own funds and your overall finances.

The advertised pricing applies to borrowing up to 90% of the home’s market value. Mortgage setup costs start at NOK 2,190, with NOK 65 per instalment. The tariff also lists NOK 1,000 per property used as security and NOK 545 for registering a mortgage over real property or a housing-cooperative share.

Eligibility

Your home must have energy rating A or B. The rating assesses the energy needed to maintain a stable indoor temperature and the energy source used. Provide a valuation, purchase agreement or energy certificate as documentation.

You must be able to pay the monthly loan costs, have a record of paying bills on time and have sufficient own funds. DNB explains that borrowing is normally limited to five times your annual income, your finances must withstand interest-rate changes, and buying a home normally requires 10% of the purchase price in own funds.

If you lack sufficient own funds, DNB can consider extra security in a parent’s home, a co-borrower, or a guarantor who provides security through money in an account.

Each co-borrower is responsible for repayment of the entire loan.
