Home energy loan

Varbergs SparbankSvezia30–350K SEK

Borrow for energy improvements to a home you own, using an unsecured loan or a top-up to your existing mortgage.

Questa opportunità è attualmente disponibile in inglese.

You can finance improvements such as solar panels, replacement doors or windows, extra insulation, heat pumps, charging stations, household appliances and ventilation. Batteries must be for storing electricity you generate yourself. The investment must help reduce energy use in your home.

The unsecured loan ranges from SEK 30,000 to SEK 350,000. A top-up to your existing mortgage starts at SEK 100,000, with total mortgage borrowing limited to 85% of the home’s value. The mortgage route gives an additional discount of 0.15 percentage points on your mortgage interest rate. The bank discusses which route fits your existing borrowing and repayment requirements.

You repay the money with interest. The bank’s published examples use straight amortisation: you repay the same amount of the borrowed principal in each instalment, alongside interest. Those examples include setup fees of SEK 550 for the unsecured route and SEK 650 for the mortgage route, with no notification fee. They illustrate costs rather than guarantee your individual interest rate or repayment period.

Eligibility

  • You must own the property and be at least 18. The bank assesses your creditworthiness.
  • You need regular income other than benefits, student finance or similar payments. Your finances must cover the loan costs, and you must have no recorded payment defaults.
  • The investment must be capable of reducing your home’s energy use. You need a quotation from the supplier who will install the solution.
  • You must be a bank customer. If you are new to Varbergs Sparbank, contact the bank to become a customer.
