Commercial heat-pump rebates
Rebates for qualifying heat-pump heating, cooling and water-heating equipment installed by Glendale Water & Power commercial electric customers.
Questa opportunità è attualmente disponibile in inglese.
The GWP Commercial Rebates Program pays $500 per ton of heat-pump heating and cooling capacity and $4,000 per qualifying heat-pump water heater.
Your combined programme rebates cannot exceed $100,000 per customer in each GWP fiscal year, from July 1 to June 30. Each approved rebate is also limited to the cost of that measure. Payment goes to the commercial electric customer on record.
Eligibility
- You must have an active GWP commercial electric account in good standing. Install the equipment and have it functioning at the corresponding GWP service address within its service territory.
- Meet applicable state and local codes and obtain approved permits where required. Tenants must obtain the property owner’s permission. Complete a GWP inspection if requested; failure to do so disqualifies the rebate. A product cannot receive rebates from more than one GWP efficiency programme, and GWP will not pay a rebate if the product is removed from the property.
- Split-system heat pumps must have a capacity below 65 kBtu/hour (65,000 British thermal units per hour), a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER, the cooling-efficiency rating) of at least 15, and a Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF, the heating-efficiency rating) of at least 8.7. Packaged systems must also be below 65 kBtu/hour, with SEER of at least 16 and HSPF of at least 8.5. Obtain the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) equipment-rating certificate from your contractor and a finalized Building & Safety mechanical permit.
- Heat-pump water heaters must be at least 45 gallons with a Uniform Energy Factor (UEF, an energy-efficiency rating) of 3.30, or at least 100 gallons with a Coefficient of Performance (COP, a heat-output-to-energy-input rating) of 4.3. Finalized Building & Safety gas-capping/fuel-switching plumbing and electrical permits are required.
- Submit a complete application within one year of purchase and installation.
