Electric$ense energy-efficiency incentives
St. Croix Electric Cooperative members can receive up to $500 per qualifying integrated heat-pump water heater installed on the cooperative’s lines.

Electric$ense rewards members for electricity-saving purchases. Its water-heater form offers $500 for each qualifying integrated, all-in-one heat-pump water heater, with the incentive limited to the equipment cost.
SCEC pays rebates of $500 or more by check. Rebates below $500 are credited to your electric bill. If you buy your water heater from SCEC, the incentive is applied to the purchase price.
Eligibility
- You must be a cooperative member, and the new equipment must be installed on St. Croix Electric Cooperative’s lines. The form allows residential, farm, commercial, industrial, institution/government and other uses.
- The heat-pump water heater must be an integrated all-in-one unit with a Uniform Energy Factor (UEF), its published energy-efficiency rating, of at least 2.20.
- The 2026 incentives are in place through December 31, 2026, while funds remain. Additional eligibility criteria may apply, and SCEC may change or cancel the programme without notice; contact SCEC for details.

Before buying, check the item’s incentive criteria. Complete and sign the 2026 water-heater incentive form, including your member and account details. Attach a copy of each receipt or invoice with the purchase prices circled, plus documentation showing installation.
Submit these documents within three months of the installation date to rebates@scec.coop or St. Croix Electric Cooperative, PO Box 160, Hammond, WI 54015. SCEC reviews the claim and approves or rejects the incentive.
