Investment in digital energy companies

Future Energy VenturesEuropa

Venture-capital investment for asset-light, scalable companies with proven customer demand at Series A or a later funding stage.

Denne finansieringsmuligheten er foreløpig beskrevet på engelsk.

Future Energy Ventures invests in companies that use software and digital infrastructure to make electrified energy systems more efficient, flexible and resilient. Its focus includes energy storage, electricity-grid intelligence, energy optimisation, connected buildings, transport, industrial transformation, AI, cybersecurity, robotics and advanced computing.

The investor becomes a part-owner of the company rather than expecting repayment of a loan. FEV describes its average investment as €1–5 million for a Series A round and €5–10 million for later stages.

Portfolio companies can also receive mentoring and introductions through FEV's partner network. FEV may lead an investment round, but decides this case by case.

Eligibility

Your company should:

  • be raising a Series A or later investment round;
  • have a digital, scalable and asset-light business model, rather than depending on owning substantial physical assets;
  • show that the product fits a market and that customers clearly want it;
  • be able to scale across geographic markets; and
  • work at the intersection of energy, electrification and enabling technologies.

Fund II has targeted companies in innovation hubs across Europe, North America and the Middle East.
