Home energy equipment loan
An unsecured personal loan for solar or wind generation, a share in a power park, energy storage or a heat pump, with higher borrowing available jointly with a spouse.

Borrow to buy and install a solar or wind system, energy storage equipment or a heat pump, or to buy a share in a power park. No down payment or property pledge is required.
Loans start at €1,000. You can borrow up to €30,000 alone or €35,000 with a co-borrower; the joint application route is with your spouse for family needs. Repayment runs from 18 to 120 months. The bank pays the money into your account after you sign, and you repay the borrowed amount with interest through monthly instalments. Fixed annual interest is advertised from 4.9%; the illustrative calculator gives a 4.9%–28% range. Your offer is assessed individually. The contract fee is 1.5% of the loan, with a €50 minimum.
You can repay early without extra charges. To repay in full, first put enough money in the repayment account to cover the outstanding loan, interest and any overdue amounts, then submit and sign an early repayment request in internet banking. The bank processes it within one working day if the funds are sufficient. After full repayment, you may request a proportionate refund of a paid contract fee through a free-form request in internet banking. For partial repayment, fund the account and submit a request stating the amount; confirm that the payment schedule will be updated with a lower monthly instalment.
Eligibility
- Apply as a private individual for personal needs, or jointly with your spouse for family needs. Citadele assesses each application and requires your consent to check creditworthiness in registers.
- Provide the applicable identity document: passport, identity card, EU citizen certificate, or a temporary or permanent Lithuanian residence permit for a third-country citizen. The application asks for your monthly income, existing loan payments and requested amount. Self-employed applicants and those working under business certificates, copyright agreements or commissioned-work contracts must provide income evidence, including relevant business documentation, the preceding two years’ and current-year declarations, and records of income over the last 12–24 months. The bank may request more income evidence.
- Except for power-park shares, the generation system, storage equipment or heat pump must be installed on real estate belonging to your family: a parent, spouse or child. The equipment and installation work must meet EU standards.
- Within six months of signing, send acquisition and installation proof through internet banking: receipts or invoices together with the payment transfer. If the bank separately requests them, also send photographs of the home and a real-estate register extract. Failure to supply the required proof increases the interest rate by four percentage points.

Apply through Citadele’s online loan application, including if you are not yet a customer. Select the purpose “Saulės elektrinei ar kitiems energiją taupantiems sprendimams įgyvendinti” (solar generation or other energy-saving solutions). Authenticate with Smart-ID or mobile signature, or use Citadele internet banking if you are already a customer. A joint applicant receives an email invitation to complete their part.
Review the personal offer in “Mano paraiškos”. If you accept it, become a Citadele customer remotely if needed, then sign through internet banking or the mobile app. After the money reaches your account, pay the supplier and arrange installation. Submit the purchase and installation evidence within six months of signing.
