Solar plant loan
Loans for medium-sized and large companies investing in solar power plants and associated technology.
Denne finansieringsmuligheten er foreløpig beskrevet på engelsk.
Finance equipment, development, production, construction, installation, operation, distribution and maintenance of solar plant projects. RBA sets the loan amount according to the investment’s purpose and structure and your company’s ability to repay. Repayment can last up to ten years, depending on the investment’s useful life. A grace period can be agreed according to the nature of the investment.
The bank lends the money and you repay the amount used, plus the agreed interest and fees, on the contractual schedule. Its general long-term lending route includes your own contribution to the investment. Payout timing and any grace period are tailored to the investment.
When the linked general terms form part of your contract, the money is normally paid in one instalment to your RBA account after the payout conditions are met, within 30 days of signing, subject to the bank’s ability to pay. Your contract can set a different period or payout arrangement. Money not used within the agreed period is treated as unused borrowing that you have given up.
For a fixed-rate loan, repaying outside the agreed schedule can trigger a cost for ending the fixed-rate arrangement. This applies when the tariff’s market-rate calculation produces a positive difference, and depends on the amount repaid and the remaining average loan term. If you breach payment or other contractual obligations, the bank can terminate the loan and demand immediate repayment, including interest, fees and costs; it may allow extra time to remedy a nonfinancial breach.
The general terms place contract and security-related costs on the borrower, including notarial and enforcement costs, unless a final court decision determines otherwise. Fee terms can differ by agreement or bank approval.
Eligibility
The offer sits within RBA’s service for medium-sized and large companies. The bank assesses your company’s ability to repay and the specifics of the investment.
Provide the main electrical design for the solar plant; an invoice, quotation or purchase contract identifying the panel manufacturer and model; the request for electricity consent; grid connection and grid-use contracts; the electricity supply and purchase contract; and confirmation of permanent commissioning. For non-integrated solar plants above 10 MW, the listed documents also include a building permit. Financial documents are needed to assess repayment capacity, and the bank can request additional documents.
Under the linked general terms, before payout your account must be unblocked, overdue obligations to RBA must be settled, and contractual conditions and agreed security must be in place. If real estate secures the loan, its owner must provide the property-purpose declaration and documentation required by the bank. Real estate owned by an individual also requires the applicable marital, partnership-property or family-home declaration; movable assets owned by an individual require the applicable marital or partnership-property declaration. The bank may release funds before a condition is fulfilled, but doing so does not waive that condition. Your contract can expressly exclude general provisions and takes precedence if it differs.
When these general terms apply, you must keep operating your registered business and provide annual financial statements to RBA within one month after the statutory filing deadline; the same timing applies to legally required audit reports. Repaying loans from your owners requires RBA’s prior written consent, which it must not withhold without reason. Environmental and health rules must be followed until the loan obligations are settled, and breaches must be reported to the bank and remedied. If property insurance is agreed as security, you must keep premiums paid and renew the cover assigned to the bank until your obligations are settled.
