Denne finansieringsmuligheten er foreløpig beskrevet på engelsk.
SC Climate Tech Ventures backs technologies that reduce emissions in energy, industry and mobility. Its areas of interest include sustainable energy, digital energy systems, energy storage, circular economy and sustainable mobility. Suma Capital also supplies industry contacts and help with operations, market strategy, and measuring and reporting environmental impact.
Suma Capital invests €500,000–€3 million in a company. It provides capital as an investor and business partner: the company receives investment in exchange for an ownership interest. The fund can join a funding round with other investors. For example, it participated in Optimitive’s Series A alongside Cemex Ventures and TITAN Cement Group, and led Cubicup’s round alongside Fondo Bolsa Social.
Eligibility
The fund focuses on micro-enterprises and small and medium-sized companies working on the energy transition or the circular economy. It invests at pre-Series A and Series A: early financing to develop the product and build the commercial business as an emerging technology begins reaching the market. It prioritises companies whose solutions are already gaining market acceptance. This is distinct from SC Net Zero Ventures, the separate fund for companies with proven commercial progress and validated business models ready to expand at scale.
Suma Capital looks for technological and commercial potential, alignment with sustainability and social responsibility, and ideas that can grow and deliver a significant positive environmental impact. Its investment geography is Spain (90%) and the rest of Europe.
The fund excludes companies active in the fossil fuel sector and companies manufacturing or selling weapons.
