Voyager invests in hardware and software companies. Climate-relevant areas include energy production and distribution, more efficient buildings and industrial facilities, mobility, and technologies that measure, capture, reuse or remove carbon.
Software must affect the physical world, for example through manufacturing, logistics or carbon management. Voyager’s wider mandate also covers other foundational technologies.
The investment makes Voyager a part-owner of your company. It often leads funding rounds, and can also invest alongside other investors. It does not set a strict ownership requirement.
Eligibility
- Your company must fit Voyager’s Pre-Seed, Seed or Series A investment stages: early company financing rounds, with most of its investments at Seed and Series A.
- Voyager invests in North America and Europe.
- Hardware companies should have technologies that can improve quickly as they are developed and produced, modular designs, and the potential to build and maintain high profit margins. Voyager excludes infrastructure requiring large capital expenditure for a single asset or production facility.
- Software companies must affect physical systems, such as manufacturing, materials discovery, logistics or carbon management.
- Healthcare, financial technology, cryptocurrency, gaming and other industries outside the investment mandate are excluded.
- Voyager can join a company’s board, but a board seat is not required for investment.

Send your company inquiry through the “Pitch us” form linked on Voyager’s website, or contact a Voyager team member. An introduction from an existing connection is welcome, but Voyager says it reviews and responds to every website inquiry.
An investment team member typically meets the founders over several meetings. If Voyager considers leading the round, it invites the founders to meet the full investment team. It also makes reference and due-diligence calls with relevant experts to check the company and technology.
