Bonus énergie
A municipal grant matches the cantonal subsidy for a first CECB Plus energy assessment of an eligible home in Lancy.
Denne finansieringsmuligheten er foreløpig beskrevet på engelsk.
The CECB Plus is a building energy certificate with an advisory report comparing renovation options. The ordinary CECB Plus diagnostic grant within Bonus énergie helps fund this assessment. The City of Lancy pays a grant equal to the cantonal award you have already received from Geneva’s energy office, OCEN.
The current ordinary cantonal award is CHF 750 for individual housing and collective housing up to 500 m² of energy-reference area (SRE), or CHF 1,500 for larger collective buildings. Municipal property-size rules still apply. Combined grants for the diagnosis may cover up to its full cost; the municipal programme also has a CHF 40,000 ceiling per project. The cantonal grant is, in principle, limited to 50% of the relevant costs. Its usual CHF 1,000 minimum does not apply to CECB Plus.
Eligibility
- You must own a residential property in Lancy, as an individual, co-owner/PPE (ownership by apartments) or cooperative. Individual houses and cooperative residential buildings must have less than 500 m² SRE, the energy-reference area used to measure building size. Collective buildings under PPE have no SRE minimum or maximum. You may live inside or outside Lancy.
- The building’s construction permit must have taken legal effect before 2000. This must be its first diagnosis: updates are excluded, and a thermal-insulation grant application under measure M-01 must not be under examination. The report must be prepared and published by a CECB-certified expert.
- The report must include at least three renovation scenarios, including a comprehensive renovation reaching Geneva’s high energy-performance standard (HPE) or equivalent. Its heat-consumption index (IDC) must have been sent to OCEN when the report is established and appear in it, together with the admissible IDC for each scenario. The three-year average IDC must also be reported to OCEN.
- Owners exempt from the CO₂ tax cannot receive the cantonal grant. Geneva canton, the Confederation and public projects directly controlled through cantonal credit allocations are also excluded.
- Landlords must pass the grant-related reduction in property costs through to rents. Receiving the cantonal grant excludes the LDTR rent supplement based on tenants’ expected energy-bill savings (BPC) and the tenant energy contribution.
- The same action can receive Bonus énergie only once. Work must comply with applicable law and have all necessary permissions. Neither the municipal nor cantonal grant is an entitlement.
Tell OCEN about project changes or delays; changes can reduce its award, and unauthorized work will not be paid. Provide requested documents. On request, supply energy-use/production records, including IDC, during the first five years of service. OCEN may check supported properties at any time and recover grants based on incorrect information.
Tell Lancy’s planning department (SAT) about changes to your situation or cantonal award. The city may adjust its grant and require partial or full repayment if the upstream award changes, eligibility conditions cease to hold, information is false or a change was not reported. Accept random municipal checks during work and for 24 months afterwards, and provide energy consumption/production records on request during the first five years of service.

- Complete claims are considered first come, first served until the available credit is exhausted.
- Apply within 12 months after the cantonal payment and within 24 months after the end of works.
Start with OCEN’s GEnergie application instructions and submit your file through the Programme Bâtiments platform. Print the application form, have it signed by the owner or an authorized representative, and send it to OCEN by post or email with any supporting documents not uploaded to the platform. OCEN must receive the request, in principle, before publication of the CECB; its general rules also require receipt at least 14 days before the funded work begins. Obtain the cantonal agreement before carrying out the assessment. Complete the assessment, declare its completion on the platform, and send the owner-signed completion form to OCEN by post or email with the required attachments. Provide both the CECB and CECB Plus for payment. The general cantonal rules require completion and receipt of the completion dossier within 24 months after the award decision takes legal effect; payment follows validation.
After receiving the cantonal payment, use Lancy’s online Bonus énergie form and select the CECB Plus diagnosis measure. Attach the OCEN application, proof of the cantonal payment and a copy of your bank/postal card showing a readable IBAN. Submit within 12 months of the cantonal payment and no later than 24 months after the end of the works.
Applications are accepted first come, first served until the available credit is exhausted. Priority is based on receipt of a complete file. If SAT requests missing documents, provide them within six months or the file will be archived. SAT assesses the claim and pays the owner or a representative with valid authorization.
