Green car loan
Individuals buying an eligible electric car from an authorised dealer can borrow at least SEK 80,000 and finance up to 80% of its price, using the car as security.

You buy the car and pledge it to secure repayment of the loan. Pay the remaining purchase price, at least 20%, in cash or with a trade-in vehicle. You must repay the borrowing with interest, which is variable.
For new agreements in the advertised promotion window, Swedbank reduces the ordinary car-loan list rate at signing by 2 percentage points. This is a reduction in the interest rate, not a discount on the amount borrowed.
The setup fee is SEK 550, or SEK 350 with Swedbank’s Nyckelkund customer package. Invoice charges are SEK 0 for electronic invoices, SEK 19 for direct debit and SEK 45 for paper bills. Extra repayments and full early repayment carry no extra charge. If you sell the car, you must repay any remaining loan.
Eligibility
- The car must be electric with zero grams of CO₂ emissions per kilometre, cost at least SEK 100,000 and be purchased through an authorised dealer.
- You must be at least 18, be or become a Swedbank customer, have regular income other than benefits, student finance or similar payments, be able to cover the loan costs and have no registered payment defaults.
- Repayment runs for one to eight years depending on the car’s age. The standard calculator requires it to be no older than twelve years at the final payment; Swedbank directs enquiries about older cars to its telephone service.

Become a customer, then log in and apply through Swedbank’s internet bank or app, or call 0771-22 11 22. Customer onboarding is available through Mobile BankID, Sweden’s electronic identification service, with branch or telephone help available.
The car’s instalment-purchase contract must be signed before the car is delivered.
