PEIK energy advice and implementation support
Help with the cost of energy-efficiency advice and implementation assistance for smaller and medium-sized businesses in Switzerland.
Denne finansieringsmuligheten er foreløpig beskrevet på engelsk.
PEIK subsidises professional advice that helps you reduce your business’s energy use. An accredited advisor visits your premises, analyses consumption and prepares a report with immediate savings and further efficiency measures. You decide which measures to implement.
EnergieSchweiz pays 50% of the advice cost, up to CHF 2,500. It also pays 60% of PEIK implementation-assistance costs, up to CHF 13,000, until 30 April 2027; the temporary increase is from the usual 50% rate. This support pays for the advisor’s help with quotations, other funding applications, operating improvements and representing you during building work. Feasibility studies and project management can also form part of this assistance.
Eligibility
Businesses in Switzerland can participate regardless of legal form or sector, including agricultural businesses. Public-sector enterprises can also apply, subject to the exclusions below. PEIK recommends the service from annual energy costs of CHF 20,000; this is a recommendation, and smaller users are not automatically excluded.
- Your company must not be covered by the canton’s large-consumer rules requiring energy-efficiency improvements, benefit from exemption from the CO₂ levy, or receive a refund of the electricity grid surcharge.
- The advice cannot already receive support from another federal programme. Additional support from cantonal programmes, energy utilities or the Climate Foundation is allowed.
- Enterprises in Energie-Vorbild Bund are excluded: Swiss Post, SBB, Skyguide, Swisscom, the ETH Domain, the defence department and the civilian federal administration.
- Advice mainly concerning office or residential buildings is excluded when the measures are limited to the building envelope, heating and hot water.
Branches may apply separately or together. For a group, the subsidy is per application, rather than per site. Two sites with a direct functional and geographical connection, such as a factory and its warehouse, cannot apply separately.

Contact the PEIK office at info@peik.ch or 058 750 05 25 to arrange a free, non-binding first consultation. PEIK connects you with a regional advisor familiar with your sector and premises. If you proceed, the advisor analyses your energy use during a site visit and prepares the report; you can then choose implementation assistance for measures from that report.
