Household energy loan
Borrow SEK 30,000–350,000 for improvements that reduce your home’s energy use, such as insulation, replacement windows or heating systems.

You can finance added insulation, replacement windows and household appliances, shares in wind power, or heating systems such as district or local heating and pellet heating. The investment must reduce your home’s energy consumption. The bank directs solar-panel purchases to its separate solar loan.
The published variable interest rate is 4.90%, so it can change. There is a SEK 588 arrangement fee. Electronic invoices are free; paper invoices cost SEK 45 each. You repay the borrowed money over 1–12 years, depending on the loan amount and purpose. Contact the bank by phone or at an office to make an extra repayment or repay the loan early.
Eligibility
- You must be a customer of Sparbanken Tanum. New customers can join before applying; the bank also offers help by phone or at an office.
- You must be at least 18 and have regular income that is not benefits, student finance or similar support. Your finances must leave room to pay the loan’s costs, and you must have no recorded payment defaults.
- Your investment must reduce your home’s energy consumption.

The bank starts paying out the loan once it has approved it and received your signed documents.
