Heat-pump replacement rebate
A $250 utility-bill credit for existing KUA customers replacing a central air-conditioning system with a qualifying high-efficiency heat pump, including commercial customers with demand of 50 kW or less.

The rebate helps you replace a central air-conditioning system with a high-efficiency heat pump. KUA pays the $250 rebate as a credit on your utility bill.
Eligibility
- You must be an existing KUA customer. KUA serves Kissimmee and surrounding areas in Florida; this is not a statewide rebate.
- Residential customers and commercial customers with demand of 50 kW or less can qualify.
- Complete an in-home energy audit before rebate approval.
- The replacement heat pump must meet all three minimum efficiency ratings: 16 SEER, 12.5 EER and 8.5 HSPF. Your installer must document the new system’s model and efficiency on the invoice.
- Use either a KUA Participating Contractor or an air-conditioning contractor licensed by Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).

Submit a copy of the invoice showing the new system’s model and efficiency, the local permit, and AHRI documentation for the equipment. KUA requests all documentation within 60 days of purchase/installation. Allow four to six weeks for processing. For this documentation, ask your installer for an AHRI Certificate of Certified Performance. It confirms that the indoor and outdoor units are matched to achieve the manufacturer’s stated efficiency rating.
