Energy-efficiency rebates
Cooperative members can receive a $500 electric-account credit for a qualifying heat-pump water heater.

This entry covers the heat-pump water-heater rebate within Riverland Energy Cooperative’s energy-efficiency programme. The payment is $500 for a qualifying water heater, limited to its equipment cost, and is credited to your electric account.
Heat-pump water heaters do not have to be connected to the cooperative’s load-control system to receive this rebate.
Eligibility
- You must be a Riverland Energy Cooperative member. The form accepts residential, commercial and farm members.
- Install new equipment on the cooperative’s electricity lines.
- The heat-pump water heater must hold at least 75 gallons and have a Uniform Energy Factor (UEF), its energy-efficiency rating, of at least 2.20. Check this rating for the equipment you choose.
- Additional eligibility criteria may apply; the cooperative directs applicants to contact it for details. The programme may change or be cancelled without notice.

Apply using Riverland Energy Cooperative’s online water-heater form, including the applicant signature. Submit the receipt or invoice showing equipment cost and purchase date, and proof of installation. Missing required information or documents leads to immediate rejection.
The overview requires submission within three months of purchase and installation; the form specifically requires the documents within three months of installation. Incentives run through 18 December 2026 while funds remain, so meet both the purchase/installation deadline and the programme end date.
