LogisVert
Grants for Québec homeowners installing efficient heat pumps or insulating and sealing a roof, with induction-range and heat-pump-dryer grants also available to tenants.
Deze mogelijkheid is momenteel in het Engels beschikbaar.
LogisVert reimburses eligible completed home improvements. For the measures described here, the grant cannot exceed your equipment purchase and installation costs before tax.
- Roof insulation together with caulking: CAD 1,500 for a qualifying house.
- Induction range: CAD 250. Heat-pump dryer: CAD 250.
- Air-to-air heat pump: CAD 50 per 1,000 BTU/h of heating capacity at −8°C, or CAD 120 for an ENERGY STAR model classified as cold climate. The installation date determines the applicable amount. BTU/h measures the system's heating output; the calculation uses its output at −8°C rather than its nominal cooling capacity.
If at least two different measures are approved in one application, a 5% bonus applies to the total grant. It cannot be combined with the multi-unit dwelling bonus. The 5% bonus cannot be added to the special Îles-de-la-Madeleine heat-pump assistance, which pays CAD 200 per 1,000 BTU/h for an ENERGY STAR cold-climate heat pump.
Owners of qualifying multi-unit buildings can receive an additional CAD 100 per 1,000 BTU/h at −8°C for a cold-climate wall-mounted mini-split, making the total CAD 220. Each tenant must pay their own electricity bill, and each dwelling must have its own meter. The building must be in an area Hydro-Québec designates as energy insecure, confirmed by postal code, have been built in 1995 or earlier, have a property value per dwelling below the regional median, and use electricity for its main heating. Condos and businesses are excluded from this bonus. Eligible installations must have taken place on or after June 15, 2026. This bonus cannot be combined with the multiple-measure bonus or any other Hydro-Québec or government-agency offer; the grant-funded costs cannot be included when calculating rent increases under the Tribunal administratif du logement rules.
Eligibility
The home must be in Québec, completed, residential and suitable for year-round living. It must have electricity from Hydro-Québec under a service contract, an off-grid system, or a municipal or cooperative system. Houses, owners’ premises in condos, multiplexes and residential buildings with up to 19 units qualify for the measures below subject to their specific conditions. In buildings with 20 or more units, the apartment must have its own meter and the owner must implement the measure inside that apartment. Common areas and commercial spaces are excluded. Detached accessory buildings do not qualify for the measures described here.
Owners can claim for the qualifying work below. Tenants can claim only for an induction range or heat-pump dryer.
- Roof insulation and caulking are available only for a house whose main heating uses electricity, once per home. Both types of work must be completed. Insulate the entire roof with fibreglass wool or an equivalent material to reach at least RSI 8.8 (R 50), a measure of resistance to heat loss. Use materials without health hazards. Caulk every air-leak area and all windows, exterior and patio doors, attic hatches, range hoods, bathroom fans, electrical outlets and fireplaces, even if no leak is detected. Window and door replacement is excluded. Contractors must be registered in Québec's enterprise register and hold the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) licences appropriate to the work.
- An induction range must be new, include at least four induction elements and a forced-convection oven, and be installed in the eligible home. A cooktop alone is excluded. Only one range per address qualifies.
- A heat-pump dryer must be new, installed in the eligible home and have no exhaust vent. Washer-dryer combinations and stacked appliances can qualify; condenser dryers and drying cabinets are excluded. Only one heat-pump dryer per address qualifies. Both appliances must be bought from a Québec retailer, including online retailers with a Québec address.
- An air-to-air heat pump must be a new complete central split system or wall-mounted mini-split with an outdoor unit and the corresponding indoor unit or units. It must be ENERGY STAR certified, have an outdoor unit with at least 12,000 BTU/h nominal cooling capacity, be bought from a Québec retailer or online retailer with a Québec address, and be installed in a home whose main heating uses electricity. It must provide heating and air conditioning. The installer must be registered in Québec's enterprise register, hold the appropriate RBQ licences and belong to the professional body for its trade. Indoor units and air distribution outside insulated living spaces, replacement of an individual coil or unit, replacement after equipment failure whether or not insured or under warranty, and central heat pumps in homes with geothermal systems are excluded.
For off-grid homes, heat pumps cannot replace or supplement fuel-fired heating. In Îles-de-la-Madeleine, a heat pump cannot replace or supplement the main fuel-fired heating system, and buildings remain ineligible for five years after construction is completed.
The same equipment or work cannot already have received a grant for anyone from Hydro-Québec or another government agency. After approval, you must not seek another such grant for that equipment or work. You must provide additional supporting evidence if requested and give Hydro-Québec access to inspect the home during the six months after applying. You must repay excess or ineligible assistance, including assistance based on false declarations or duplicate government funding, by the deadline in the repayment notice. Once Hydro-Québec awards the grant, you cannot return it to choose another grant programme instead. Comply with applicable purchase and installation laws, including environmental rules.

- Apply no later than nine months after implementation; for combined measures, count from the first measure.
Check the participant guide and your equipment and contractor eligibility before buying or hiring. Complete the work, pay the invoices, then create a participation profile and apply through the LogisVert portal, which is available in French. Email and postal applications are not processed.
Apply within nine months after implementing the measure. If combining measures, count those nine months from the first measure. Owners must make sure the invoice name matches their proof of ownership; payment goes to the owner. Tenant invoices must match the applicant's name and address.
Upload the paid invoices and the documents specified for each measure. For ownership proof, provide a municipal property-tax bill or the first page of the deed of sale. Indigenous community members can instead provide the applicant's electricity bill or a homeownership letter signed by a band-council representative. The appliance measures require a clear photo of the installed appliance; heat pumps require a clear outdoor-unit nameplate photo showing the ENERGY STAR symbol, model and serial number.
Hydro-Québec may request further documents or arrange a compliance visit. Once eligibility is confirmed and the application is complete, it starts the payment process and sends the grant by mail. Grants received through a business or property operation, including a landlord's rented apartment, require an RL-27 government-payment tax slip; provide a Québec enterprise number, GST number or social insurance number as instructed through the secure profile.
