Zäme effiziänt household appliance grant
Per-appliance grants help households, companies and property managers in Bern, Solothurn and Jura replace inefficient household appliances.
Deze mogelijkheid is momenteel in het Engels beschikbaar.
Zäme effiziänt helps you replace an old household appliance with an efficient model. This entry covers ordinary household appliances in Bern, Solothurn and Jura. After approval, Topten transfers the grant to your bank account.
The following amounts are per appliance and exclude VAT:
- Household/single-family-home tumble dryers: CHF 70 for energy class A or CHF 50 for B.
- Combined washer-dryers: CHF 70 for A, CHF 50 for B or CHF 40 for C.
- Dishwashers: CHF 50 for A or CHF 40 for B.
- Refrigerators, fridge-freezers, upright freezers and chest freezers: CHF 70 for A, CHF 50 for B or CHF 40 for C.
- Extractor hoods: CHF 50 for A+++, CHF 40 for A++ or CHF 40 for A+.
Topten applies the rates and conditions in force when you submit the claim. There is no legal entitlement to a grant; Topten’s award decisions are final and cannot be appealed. BKW may change or withdraw rates and conditions.
Eligibility
- You must be resident in Bern, Solothurn or Jura and install the replacement appliance in one of these cantons. Individuals, companies, property owners, property managers and housing cooperatives can benefit. You do not have to be a customer of a participating utility.
- The new appliance must replace an existing one and must have been bought and installed after 1 January 2026. A first appliance without an old device to replace is excluded. Foodcenters are excluded from the refrigerator and fridge-freezer categories.
- You must confirm professional disposal of the old appliance. It must not be reused or resold in Switzerland.
- Double funding and repeated claims for the same appliance are prohibited. If a seller has already deducted this grant from the price, you cannot claim it again.
- You assign the evidence of electricity savings to BKW, which may count the savings or transfer them to others. You consent to application data being passed to the Swiss Federal Office of Energy or its administrative office, and must allow it or its representatives access to the funded appliance for spot checks when needed.
- BKW may recover grants obtained through false or incomplete information or failure to comply with the rules, including repeated claims. In that case you must repay the full amount and may be excluded from future funding programmes.

- Voorwaarden voor deze aanvraagronde
- Submit a complete claim within six months of the purchase/order date. The device must have been purchased and installed after 1 January 2026.
Apply electronically through Topten’s Zäme effiziänt form. Submit the complete, correct claim within six months of the purchase date; the order date controls when order, delivery and payment dates differ. Upload an invoice showing the purchase/order date, net price and delivery address. Incomplete or incorrect claims are rejected without entitlement to funding.
For large property claims, Topten also offers an Excel template. Once the conditions are met, you receive written confirmation and a bank transfer. Alternatively, participating implementation partners can deduct the grant directly from the invoice, with no separate claim.
