Climate renovation loan
Borrow €5,000–€75,000 to improve the energy efficiency of a property you own and either occupy or rent out, with a 10–15-year loan term.

Finance solar panels, ground-source or air-source heat pumps, wall insulation, roof insulation and re-roofing, replacement windows and external doors, heating replacement or basement-ceiling insulation.
Sparkasse Schwelm-Sprockhövel lends €5,000–€75,000 for 10–15 years. The advertised conditions are guaranteed for the full term. You receive borrowed money for the renovation and must repay the loan with interest; consumer-loan interest and charges follow your individual contract and statutory rules. Reimbursement of the bank’s expenses follows statutory rules.
The loan can be combined with currently available NRW.BANK and KfW grants. A loan without a land charge—a security right registered against your property—is possible. The bank’s general terms also give it rights over assets it holds for you, including account balances. Assets expressly earmarked for a specific use, securities held abroad unless otherwise agreed, the bank’s own participation rights and claims from subordinated liability capital are excluded. If you fail to pay an amount due, the bank may use covered assets after a reminder, a reasonable grace period and a warning.
Eligibility
- You must own the property and pass the bank’s creditworthiness assessment. Both owner-occupied and rented properties can be renovated.
- The bank’s ordinary lending area covers Schwelm, Sprockhövel, the Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis and adjoining districts and independent cities. German borrowers outside the area are exceptional cases. Lending elsewhere in the EU or Switzerland requires the bank to keep its lending predominantly regional; other foreign lending is exceptional and must be directly linked to serving the statutory area.
- For this loan’s maximum amount of €75,000, any right to require additional or stronger security for a consumer loan is limited to security specified in the credit contract.
