TRANSCom electric freight vehicle grants
Grants for Czech-registered road-freight businesses replacing diesel trucks with new electric trucks, with support for associated private chargers.
Deze mogelijkheid is momenteel in het Engels beschikbaar.
TRANSCom 2/2025 supports new electric N2 trucks weighing 4.25–12 tonnes and N3 trucks above 12 tonnes. A new vehicle must never have been registered in Czechia or another country.
The vehicle grant covers the extra eligible cost above the call’s conventional-truck reference price. The maximum rate is 30% for large businesses, 40% for medium businesses and 50% for small businesses. The per-vehicle ceilings also apply:
| Vehicle weight | Large business | Medium business | Small business |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4.25–7.5 tonnes | CZK 225,000 | CZK 300,000 | CZK 375,000 |
| Over 7.5–12 tonnes | CZK 450,000 | CZK 600,000 | CZK 750,000 |
| Over 12 tonnes | CZK 1,350,000 | CZK 1,800,000 | CZK 2,250,000 |
The conventional-vehicle reference prices are CZK 875,000, CZK 1,750,000 and CZK 2,750,000 respectively. Each applicant can receive at most CZK 28.8 million for trucks up to 12 tonnes and CZK 76.8 million for heavier trucks.
Private charging stations can be included with the trucks, up to one station per two purchased trucks. Charging support covers at most 30% of eligible purchase costs and CZK 50,000 per station. It is also limited by your remaining de minimis allowance: the general ceiling is EUR 300,000 for one undertaking over three years.
You pay the costs first, using cashless payments documented by bank statements. Identifiable card or payment-gateway payments are also accepted. SFŽP reimburses eligible expenditure after the grant contract takes effect and you submit payment requests with fully paid invoices. VAT is eligible only if you cannot recover it; a later right to recover it requires repayment of the corresponding grant.
At least 80% of the call allocation is reserved for trucks above 12 tonnes. Funding for lighter N2 trucks beyond their 20% share is possible only if the reserved N3 allocation remains unused.
Eligibility
- Your business must be registered in Czechia and operate road-freight transport. The project must take place in Czechia, and the supported trucks must be registered there and used for road freight. Each truck needs a valid type-approval declaration covering its electric drive.
- The purchase must replace diesel freight vehicles previously operated and tax-depreciated in Czechia. SFŽP checks annually that at least as many old vehicles have been removed from the Czech register as new supported vehicles have been purchased; you do not have to identify an individual replacement truck.
- Apply before sending an order or notifying the winning bidder, whichever starts your project. Projects started before application cannot receive vehicle aid.
- You must own the supported equipment. Financial leasing is excluded. You must maintain the project through the vehicle’s tax-depreciation period and for at least five years after completion.
- Your business must pass the GBER “undertaking in difficulty” assessment. This checks financial distress through the applicable capital-loss, insolvency, rescue/restructuring-aid and, for large businesses, debt and interest-cover tests. Provide the financial documents SFŽP requires; its assessment calculator supports a self-check before applying.
- You cannot be insolvent or in liquidation, or have overdue liabilities to public budgets or unpaid taxes. A company is excluded if a public official covered by the call’s statutory rule, or an entity they control, owns at least 25% of it. Legal entities must document their ownership and beneficial owners.
- Vehicle aid is unavailable if your business has an outstanding order to repay unlawful, incompatible state aid. This check also covers linked and partner businesses, including those abroad.
- Other public funding must not pay the same eligible costs twice. Combined public aid must also stay within the maximum permitted aid rate. Notify SFŽP of other support and provide its award document. Notify SFŽP of any legal encumbrance on the funded equipment. Loan security is allowed only in favour of a Czech National Bank-licensed bank or a qualifying credit institution operating in Czechia. The latter must preserve your exclusive ownership and have nonperforming loans of no more than 5%. Statutory liens and security for grant obligations have separate exceptions.
