Rainwater collector grant
Owners and tenants in Carcassonne Agglo can receive 50% of a new rainwater tank’s invoice cost, capped at €50 or €100 according to capacity.

Collect rainwater to water your garden and reduce drinking-water use. The grant reimburses a new underground or above-ground tank purchased from a shop or online. Tanks above 300 litres and up to 1,000 litres receive 50% of the invoice amount, capped at €50; tanks above 1,000 litres receive 50%, capped at €100.
Support is limited to one tank per tax household over the entire programme, even if it runs for several years, and depends on available funds.
Eligibility
- You must be an individual living in a member commune of Carcassonne Agglo as a private homeowner or tenant. There is no means test. Install the tank at your main home.
- The new tank must hold more than 300 litres, be closed with a lid, UV-resistant and opaque, and connected to the gutters.
- The paid invoice must be dated in 2026. Rainwater must not be used for domestic purposes.
- Position the installation so that it does not harm the area’s appearance or heritage; favour the rear of the home or a concealed place where possible. Allow Carcassonne Agglo representatives to carry out on-site checks if needed.
- Maintain the installation in working order, monitor and reduce drinking-water consumption over time, and do not use the collected water for domestic purposes. Aid obtained through false declarations or inaccurate information may have to be repaid.

Buy and install the tank, then download the 2026 application form from the official offer page. Send the completed request and supporting documents to recup.eau@carcassonne-agglo.fr, preferably by email, or post them to Carcassonne Agglo, Direction de la mutualisation, 1 rue Pierre Germain, 11890 Carcassonne Cedex 9. Your complete application must arrive by 31 December 2026.
Include the signed request, bank account details (RIB), an installation photo and a paid 2026 invoice showing tank volume, supplier name and address, payment date and your name; till receipts are not accepted. Owners provide their latest property-tax document in their name and at their address, or a notarised purchase deed. Tenants provide proof of address in their name and the landlord’s permission to modify the gutter. The signed form also authorizes Carcassonne Agglo to reproduce and publicly communicate the submitted tank photograph.
Complete applications are processed in arrival order and submitted to the award commission. Payment is by bank transfer about two months after the award decision becomes legally effective.
