A loan for Australian residents to buy solar, batteries and other home energy improvements through an approved vendor.

You can finance solar panels, battery storage, inverters, combined solar and battery systems, off-grid systems, solar heating and cooling improvements, and double-glazed windows and doors. Borrow AU$2,000–65,000 over 2–10 years; the available term depends on the product.
The fixed interest rate starts at 9.99% a year for customers with an excellent credit profile. Your approved offer specifies your rate, repayment amount and establishment fee. The establishment fee starts at AU$199 and is added to the loan; a AU$2.99 weekly account fee is included in repayments. A AU$4.99 late fee may apply to a missed repayment. You can repay early without an early repayment fee.
Brighte pays your approved vendor directly after the vendor reports that the goods and services have been provided, delivered or installed as your purchase contract requires. Your first repayment is normally due 28 days after that report. You may nominate an earlier first repayment within the first 28 days after Brighte advances funds to the vendor, giving at least two business days’ notice. Interest is calculated daily on the unpaid balance. Extra payments do not remove your obligation to continue regular repayments until the loan, interest and fees are paid off.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 and an Australian resident.
- You need an Australian driver’s licence, passport or Medicare card, and your own email address and mobile number.
- Brighte must approve your credit application. The loan must fund the purpose you told Brighte about and a purchase from its approved vendor.
- Before funding, nominate an account for repayment debits by completing Brighte’s authority form.
- The loan agreement allows Brighte to request current and historical electricity-meter data on your behalf; you must provide further consents or account and meter details it requests for that access.
