Grants of up to £10,000 for Ealing community and faith groups to improve their spaces, cut energy costs and prepare for heat or flooding.

Ta możliwość jest obecnie dostępna po angielsku.

The grant covers some of the costs of improving community buildings and spaces in the London Borough of Ealing. Examples include insulation, solar panels, double glazing, heat pumps, shutters, awnings and greening. The council also lists LED lighting and solar film on windows.

Funding cannot cover day-to-day organisational costs, including rent, bills, administration or staffing.

Eligibility

  • Your organisation must be a not-for-profit community or faith organisation, work for local people and be based in, or mainly operate within, the London Borough of Ealing.
  • The project must reduce carbon emissions through energy savings or help your building adapt to heat or flooding.
  • You need suitable financial management, such as a community group bank account, clear spending procedures and a treasurer or equivalent person responsible for finances. If you lease the premises, obtain your landlord’s permission for the improvements.
  • Show how you will involve your community and help people understand the project’s aims and benefits. The project must be ready to start in early 2027, with a delivery plan and evidence of value for money.

The council scores either energy and carbon savings or resilience to heat and heavy rain. Greater energy savings score better, with gas savings scoring higher than electricity savings. For resilience, the assessment considers improved comfort in heatwaves or slowing stormwater flow. Community involvement, readiness and cost effectiveness also affect the score; the council considers whether the community is investing alongside the grant. If applications exceed available funding, Greenford, Northolt and Southall projects receive priority.
