Green car leasing for households
Leasing for individuals buying new or used cars with WLTP CO₂ emissions of 0–95 g/km, with preferential interest margins and a down payment from 10%.

Swedbank owns the car during the lease. You pay the purchase price and interest over the agreement, then become the owner when it ends and the full amount has been paid.
For cars with WLTP CO₂ emissions of 0 g/km, the interest margin starts at 1.49%; for cars emitting 1–95 g/km, it starts at 1.69%. Both are added to six-month Euribor, with Euribor treated as at least zero. WLTP is the standard vehicle test used to measure the car’s CO₂ emissions for these thresholds. The final interest rate depends on Swedbank’s assessment of your ability to repay.
The agreement fee starts at 1% of the car’s value, with a minimum of €200. You must have or open a Swedbank account, whose minimum service fee is €1 per month, and pay for insurance. The green-car offer includes a 10% discount on Swedbank CASCO insurance during the first year.
Eligibility
- The car can be new or used, but must emit 0–95 g/km of CO₂ under WLTP to receive the green terms.
- The car must cost at least €11,200. The financed amount must be at least €10,000. The lease can last up to seven years, and the car cannot be more than 15 years old when the agreement ends.
- Your down payment starts at 10% of the vehicle’s value; the required amount depends on the car and your credit assessment.
- Net monthly income must be at least €700, or €1,100 when borrowing with your spouse. Higher income is required if you have dependants. Swedbank assesses your ability to repay individually.
- CASCO cover for damage to the car is required throughout the agreement, with an insurer acceptable to Swedbank. Compulsory motor liability insurance is also required.
- Buying from a seller outside Swedbank’s accepted list, or taking over an existing agreement, requires an appraisal by an accepted appraiser. Swedbank can instead value the car itself for a €90 fee; inspection is available in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda, and the bank may specify another valuation procedure elsewhere.

Choose a car and submit the Car Lease application in Swedbank’s internet bank. A bank employee will contact you. If approved, sign the agreement in the internet bank and make the down payment.
Declare the acquisition to Regitra and register Swedbank as the owner and yourself as the vehicle’s user. If the car is already in Lithuania when the leasing agreement is concluded, declare the ownership change within five working days of signing the transfer and acceptance deed. If it has not yet entered Lithuania, declare the change before bringing it into the country. Arrange the required insurance.
When the lease ends, declare the change of ownership to Regitra within five working days of receiving the document confirming completion of the lease.
