Sustainable Business Loan
A preferred-rate loan for corporate and agribusiness customers investing in renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage or climate adaptation, with at least NZ$1 million in total Westpac business lending.

Westpac New Zealand lends to businesses for sustainability investments, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage and climate change adaptation. The product also covers wider environmental and social initiatives.
You receive a preferred lending rate and can take two years to purchase and install or develop the initiative. This is borrowing that you must repay, with interest, under your loan agreement; the two-year period relates to delivering the initiative.
The business-borrowing establishment fee is up to 1% of the facility limit or loan amount, with a minimum charge from NZ$400. For fixed-rate borrowing, processing an early repayment has no administration fee, but a separate prepayment cost may apply under the loan agreement.
Eligibility
- You must be a corporate or agribusiness customer, and have at least NZ$1 million in total business lending with Westpac New Zealand. This is the total lending threshold, rather than a minimum amount for this particular loan.
- Westpac applies its eligibility and lending criteria.
- Borrowing must be for business or investment purposes. Personal, domestic and household purposes are excluded.
