Residential insulation rebate

Tucson Electric PowerArizonado 800 USD

Get up to $800 towards attic or roof insulation at your home if you are a Tucson Electric Power residential customer.

Ta możliwość jest obecnie dostępna po angielsku.

Insulation helps keep heat in your home during cooler months and keeps summer heat out, reducing heating and cooling needs.

Your rebate depends on the insulated area, the existing insulation and the final R-value, the rating used to specify insulation performance:

Existing insulation Final R-value tier Rebate per square foot Maximum rebate
None R-38 or higher $0.40 $600
None R-49 or higher $0.50 $800
Some R-38 or higher $0.20 $300
Some R-49 or higher $0.30 $500

The contractor must also certify that the installed insulation is more than R-38. Reaching exactly R-38 does not satisfy that certification. Payment is a check or prepaid digital or physical Mastercard, normally within six to eight weeks after final application approval.

Eligibility

  • You must be a Tucson Electric Power residential customer and install the insulation at a residential home in its Arizona service area.
  • Your existing insulation must be less than R-19. The programme requires at least a total R-38 after installation, and the contractor must certify installed insulation above R-38.
  • Use an insulation contractor with an Arizona Residential Contractor License. Accepted materials are blanket batts or rolls, foam or rigid board, loose-fill or blown-in insulation, and spray foam or foamed-in-place materials.
  • For a flat roof, insulation added to the roof deck qualifies when the attic is converted into an unvented, conditioned space. Existing attic insulation must meet programme requirements, and the invoice must describe the conversion work.
  • The customer must be the owner or occupant of the home and agree to inspection of the installed insulation. Rebates depend on available funds and may change without notice.
