Energy efficiency rebates
Bill credit of up to $150 for a new ENERGY STAR heat pump dryer paired with an ENERGY STAR washer, for eligible residential, farm and small commercial members in Iowa.

The heat pump dryer route of the energy efficiency rebate programme covers a new ENERGY STAR dryer, including installations in new construction and replacements of electric or gas dryers. It pays $150 per unit, limited to 50% of the total dryer and installation cost, as a credit on your electricity bill. Only one dryer qualifies per service address.
If you generate energy on site under Alternative Energy Production (AEP), the rebate is reduced to reflect the percentage of power supplied by Corridor Energy Cooperative. For equipment that increases your electricity demand, the rebate is held for 12 months to collect usage data. For replacement equipment that does not increase demand, the cooperative uses the previous 12 months of usage.
Eligibility
- You must have a Corridor Energy Cooperative account in good standing. The application accepts residence-only or residence/farm accounts on rates 11TOD or 12TOD, and small commercial accounts on rates 13TOD or 3MCOM. The cooperative serves parts of Linn and Johnson counties, with line extensions into Jones, Cedar, Iowa and Benton counties.
- Your account must have less than 75 kW of non-coincidental 15-minute demand during the billing months of December, January, February, June, July, August and September. This is the account’s maximum demand measured over a 15-minute interval, rather than its total electricity consumption.
- The dryer must be new and ENERGY STAR certified, and paired with an ENERGY STAR washer. The form also accommodates a combined washer/dryer, using the dryer model number for the washer field.
- Owner installation is allowed. Corridor Energy Cooperative may inspect equipment and verify sales transactions; all self-installed equipment is subject to inspection. The cooperative does not accept liability for work performed or guarantee energy or cost savings.
- The cooperative can change incentive levels or end the programme without notice. You are responsible for checking with it that the programme remains in effect.

Contact Corridor Energy Cooperative’s Member Services team at rebates@corridorenergy.coop to check whether equipment you are considering or have recently installed qualifies. Submit the heat pump dryer application online, completing all sections and accepting the terms. The account holder certifies that the information is accurate and all programme rules have been followed. Have the invoice, model and serial numbers ready: the online form cannot be saved and resumed later. It asks for dryer energy-performance information, the paired washer model number, installed cost and an attached invoice.
