Use the loan to make your home more energy efficient, including new windows or insulation. The same product also permits pre-buying heating fuel.
You borrow money from Bellwether and repay it with interest through monthly payments over a term of up to 60 months. The annual percentage rate (APR) is the interest rate you pay each year. Published APRs start at 9.25% for terms of 0–42 months, 9.75% for 43–54 months and 10.25% for 55–60 months. These rates took effect on 23 April 2026 and can change. Your actual rate depends on your creditworthiness and ability to repay; other rates and terms are available.
Eligibility
You must be a Bellwether member, and the loan is subject to credit approval. Bellwether assesses your creditworthiness and whether you can repay the loan.
Bellwether serves members across New Hampshire and Essex and Middlesex counties in Massachusetts. Its membership charter includes anyone living or working in New Hampshire. Joining involves a one-time $5 membership share.
