Heat-pump rebate

Union County Electric CooperativeDakota Południowa

A $600 rebate for cooperative member homeowners installing an ENERGY STAR air-to-air or geothermal heat pump.

Ta możliwość jest obecnie dostępna po angielsku.

The cooperative offers a $600 rebate for a qualifying heat pump. Air-to-air and geothermal systems are both covered.

Heat-pump installations can also receive a reduced electricity rate from October through April under the cooperative’s load management system. The cooperative controls the system through a load-control device and measures its electricity use with a separate meter. The homeowner pays for meter installation; the cooperative supplies the meter, socket, any required current transformer (CT), and load-control device at no cost to the member.

Eligibility

  • You must be a Union County Electric Cooperative member homeowner with a heat-pump installation served by the cooperative in South Dakota.
  • The heat pump must be ENERGY STAR rated and be an air-to-air or geothermal system.
  • System capacity must be at least two tons. Its heating seasonal performance factor (HSPF), the heating-efficiency rating, must be at least 8.5. An AHRI certificate documenting the equipment ratings is required.
  • The installation is separately metered, and the reduced-rate arrangement uses the cooperative’s load management system. Meter installation is at the homeowner’s expense.
