Residential heat pump rebates

Southeastern Electric CooperativeDakota Południowa

Residential electricity customers can receive rebates for installing high-efficiency heat pumps in new homes or replacing existing equipment.

Ta możliwość jest obecnie dostępna po angielsku.

The residential rebate is $800 for an approved ground-source heat pump, $600 for an air-to-air heat pump, or $300 for a ductless mini-split. This entry covers systems with at least two tons of capacity. A ground-source system must be able to meet the home’s entire space-heating and cooling needs.

You pay for an exterior heat meter to record the system’s electricity use. Air conditioning must also have load control: it is switched off for 10 minutes and on for 20 minutes. Rebates are subject to change.

Eligibility

  • You must receive your electricity from Southeastern Electric. The residential installation may be in a new home or replace existing equipment.
  • Electric heat must be the home’s primary heating source. All necessary equipment must be installed and operating before payment.
  • Each structure is limited to one rebate, and an account can claim only once in a ten-year period.
  • Modular homes and trailer houses must have a permanent foundation or a basement. A visual inspection is required before their rebate is issued.
