Electric mobility grant
Grants for Hockenheim electricity customers buying a wallbox, electric cargo bike, electric moped or electric scooter for noncommercial use.
Esta oportunidade está atualmente disponível em inglês.
You can receive €100 towards a wallbox, €200 towards an electric cargo bike, €100 towards an electric moped (E-Roller), or €50 towards an electric scooter (E-Scooter). New and existing customers who conclude a Stadtwerke Hockenheim Naturstrom supply contract receive an extra €50. Only one measure per customer per year is funded.
This is a voluntary, one-off grant with no legal entitlement. Applications are considered in receipt order while funds remain available for the application year. Other funding can be combined unless the other funder restricts this.
If you breach the rules or obtain funding using false information, the grant approval is revoked. Amounts already paid become repayable and accrue 7.5% annual interest from revocation.
Eligibility
- You must be an electricity tariff customer buying your electricity from Stadtwerke Hockenheim in its supply area. Individuals, private-law legal entities, church organisations and nonprofit organisations can apply. Both your residence and the project location must be within the municipal area (Gemarkung) of Hockenheim.
- Tenants must show the owner agrees to the project; wallbox installation requires written landlord consent. A wallbox site must have no conflicting planning, building or heritage restrictions. Listed buildings need the applicable heritage permission. Commercially used wallbox locations and commercial use of the funded vehicles are excluded.
- A wallbox must have at least one Type 2 connection and at least 11 kW charging power. A specialist company must install it and notify the network operator; submit proof of that notification with the application. You must allow Stadtwerke representatives to inspect the installation on site.
- An electric cargo bike must be designed to carry people and loads, have substantially more carrying capacity than an ordinary bicycle, an extended wheelbase and a permanently attached load unit.
- An E-Roller must require insurance, have road registration with a number plate and a maximum speed of at least 25 km/h. An E-Scooter must likewise require insurance and road registration with a number plate, but its maximum speed must be no more than 20 km/h.
- Equipment needs a manufacturer or seller declaration showing compliance with legal and technical product-safety requirements, such as the applicable CE marking, VDE AR-N 4100 electrical rules or DIN 79010 cargo-bike standard. Purchases predating the rules, which took effect on 1 May 2024, are excluded.
