Home energy renovation supplement
Grants for home insulation, replacement windows, controlled ventilation and energy advice for individual property owners with a qualifying national Klimabonus award.

The municipality pays a supplement equal to 25% of the qualifying state award for home energy renovation.
The municipal grant is capped at €4,000 for each of external wall insulation, internal wall insulation, pitched or flat roof insulation, and replacement windows or French windows. The cap is €2,000 for each of wall insulation against the ground or an unheated area, upper-floor slab insulation against an unheated area, and lower-floor slab insulation against an unheated area, the ground or outside. Controlled ventilation and approved energy advice also receive 25% of the state award.
Support is available once per building; replacement windows and French windows, and energy advice, may each be claimed once per dwelling. Combined state and municipal aid cannot exceed eligible expenditure.
Eligibility
- You must be an individual who owns or co-owns the property in Strassen when you apply.
- You must already have a national Klimabonus award under the amended law of 23 December 2016 and the grand-ducal regulation of 7 April 2022. This municipal supplement covers renovation and approved advice qualifying under that framework.
- The grant must be repaid if obtained through false declarations or inaccurate information, or if the corresponding state aid has to be repaid under the applicable rules.

- Apply within six months of receiving the ministerial decision confirming the qualifying state award.
Send the completed municipal renovation subsidy form to Administration communale de Strassen, Service environnement, B.P. 22, L-8001 Strassen. The environmental service can be reached at environnement@strassen.lu.
Apply no later than six months after receiving the ministerial decision confirming your state grant. Attach a copy of the state award document showing the amount, including its annexes, and a bank identity statement (RIB).
