Energy grants
Grants for private homeowners in Troinex installing voluntary solar photovoltaic panels on an existing building with no more than three dwellings.
Esta oportunidade está atualmente disponível em inglês.
You can receive CHF 400 per kilowatt-peak (kWp) for a photovoltaic installation of up to 10 kWp. Kilowatt-peak is the installation power used to calculate this grant. Municipal building-energy grants together cannot exceed CHF 5,000 per owner, per building and per calendar year. Aid can complement federal, cantonal or other support.
Grants depend on the annual municipal budget. Complete, conforming requests are processed in arrival order; receiving a file number does not guarantee funding. If the budget runs out, pending requests can be suspended while an additional allocation is considered, or rejected with an invitation to apply again the following year. The municipal executive decides awards, and there is no entitlement to a grant. Its decisions under these rules are final and cannot be appealed.
Eligibility
- You can apply as a private homeowner legally domiciled in Troinex for a building in the municipality containing no more than three dwellings. Legal persons, such as companies, are excluded.
- The route described here is for voluntary photovoltaic installations of up to 10 kWp on existing buildings. New construction, routine maintenance and photovoltaic panels required as part of a building-permit measure to obtain an energy label are excluded.
- Submit the request and obtain acceptance before starting. Opening the site or delivering equipment counts as starting work. Do not start while the project still needs correction: once work has begun, the rules prevent additions or a new request, including where the planned work changes by more than a minor amount.
- You must allow municipal inspections during or after work and provide requested supporting information. Report a change of property ownership while the award decision remains valid; after the work, a new owner can request transfer of the grant in writing.
- Aid obtained improperly, through intentional or unintentional misleading information, or diverted from its purpose must be repaid within five years after the facts become known. Applying authorizes municipal use of your dossier and, for these building grants, your identity in sustainability communications. Project communications must acknowledge municipal support using the prescribed French wording: « Ce projet a bénéficié d’un soutien financier pour le développement durable de la commune de Troinex ».

- Apply and obtain acceptance before work starts. Grants depend on the annual municipal budget.[^c5][^c17][^c20]
Complete the current building-energy application form and send the signed, dated dossier to mairie@troinex.ch or Mairie de Troinex, Grand-Cour 8, 1256 Troinex. Include the project description, costs, execution dates, energy objectives and installation power; supplier or contractor estimates; the required building authorization or works notice; other subsidy requests; and copies of your identity and bank cards. A representative must include a copy of their mandate. The municipality may request additional documents.
Wait for acceptance before work. Only a signed letter from the administration or municipal executive confirms an award; any required building authorization remains necessary. The promise lasts up to 18 months from receipt of the positive decision. An exceptional extension can be requested in writing, with reasons, before expiry.
Before that period expires, send the completed, signed completion certificate with the required invoices, payment evidence, commissioning records and applicable authorization. Also submit the detailed final invoice and proof of payment within three months after completion, or the decision lapses. Payment depends on conformity and photovoltaic validation certification from the competent federal office. Cost overruns do not increase the award; lower costs may reduce it. Payment is due within 60 days after approval of the final account.
