Energy-saving advice and implementation support grant
Businesses and nonprofit organizations in Renkum can get grants for tailored energy-saving advice and expert help to carry out the recommended measures.
Esta oportunidade está atualmente disponível em inglês.
The initial grant pays two-thirds of the cost of a tailored energy advice report, up to €1,000 per location. You pay at least one-third of the advice cost. If two-thirds of the cost exceeds €1,000, you also pay the amount above that grant cap. An organization can receive this advice grant for up to three locations.
The tailored report must address multiple measures. It must cover annual energy use and its consumption category, ownership of the premises, and relevant analysis of the building envelope, installations, processes and behaviour. It must include a completed Erkende Maatregelenlijst (EML), the recognized energy-saving measures checklist, relevant options and obligations, costs and/or payback periods, a timetable for the measures, and data for energy-saving and information duties. The rules define the energy-saving duty as carrying out all measures with a payback period of five years or less when annual consumption exceeds 50,000 kWh of electricity or 25,000 m³ of natural gas equivalent. The information duty concerns reporting energy-saving information above those consumption thresholds.
A separate component covers expert support costs up to €1,000 for implementing measures in an advice report already issued to your organization. This pays for advice and support, such as assessing quotations, obtaining permits, finding grants or finance, preparing maintenance plans, resolving owner–tenant arrangements, or independently supervising implementation. The expert must be a Chamber of Commerce-registered financial, legal, construction or energy adviser.
Eligibility
- Your applicant must be a profit-making legal entity or a nonprofit legal entity with a social purpose in Renkum. Nonprofits include care institutions, schools, places of worship and sports associations.
- This entry covers small and medium energy users whose annual electricity use is above 10,000 kWh and below 10,000 MWh, and/or annual gas use is above 5,000 m³ and below 170,000 m³. Neither electricity nor gas use may reach the large-user limits of 10,000 MWh or 170,000 m³. Household and large-user categories are excluded.
- Contact REE before applying. Advice produced before the regulation took effect on 13 June 2024 is excluded. Implementation support must follow an energy advice report issued to your organization and concern its recommended measures.
- You cannot receive this grant twice for the same advice costs, subject to the allowance for advice at up to three locations. You must cooperate with sample checks of whether the grant was spent for its intended purpose.
- Under the general municipal grant rules, the municipality may refuse support if the activities do not sufficiently benefit Renkum residents or fit municipal policy; duplicate another organization’s work; insufficiently consider social sustainability or local cooperation; misuse funds; have already started; conflict with law, public interest or public order; are mainly political or religious; or can be paid for sufficiently from your own or third-party resources. These are discretionary refusal grounds.
