Business energy loan
Borrow for insulation, heating upgrades, solar installations and other energy improvements to property owned by your company or association.

The loan can pay for materials and labour. Eligible improvements include windows and doors with a U-value of 1.2 or lower. You can also finance loft, façade or roof insulation.
Other eligible work includes ground-source, air-source and exhaust-air heat pumps; heat recovery and ventilation with heat recovery (FTX); district heating or cooling; solar panels, solar thermal collectors and solar batteries; LED lighting, including occupancy controls; and charging points close to the property.
There is no fixed minimum or maximum loan. The bank sets the amount according to your needs, the property’s cash flow and the proportion of its value already financed by borrowing. Security against the property is normally required; the acceptable borrowing proportion also depends on the property type.
Interest is priced individually, with fixed and variable rates available. Repayments of the borrowed money are agreed with the bank. Before the bank pays out the loan, you must show invoices identifying the eligible improvements. Beyond those invoices, the energy loan requires no further follow-up or reporting.
Eligibility
Your company or association must own the property, and its representative submits the application. Housing associations can apply. All property types that can undergo energy-efficiency improvements are covered. Private individuals use the bank’s separate consumer offers.
You must already be a customer or intend to move the property financing to Tjörns Sparbank as part of the energy renovation. New and existing customers must pass the bank’s checks on the purpose of the banking relationship and intended transactions, as well as its credit assessment.

Call Tjörns Sparbank on 0304-67 68 69 to apply. If you are new to the bank, first follow its business-customer joining instructions; the energy-loan route allows new customers moving their property financing to the bank.
Existing customers can use the loan form under “Lån” in the internet bank or app. The person applying needs unrestricted authority in the new internet bank. Describe the business’s financing needs; after submission the bank obtains credit information from UC and contacts you to discuss financing.
