Energy efficiency appliance rebates
Rebates for MCREA members buying qualifying clothes dryers or induction cooktops, or recycling refrigerators and freezers, for homes and small businesses in northeastern Colorado.
Esta oportunidade está atualmente disponível em inglês.
Morgan County REA administers these appliance rebates in partnership with its wholesale power supplier, Tri-State G&T. The 2026 appliance route pays $30 for an ENERGY STAR certified electric resistance clothes dryer or $90 for an ENERGY STAR certified heat-pump dryer (also called a ventless dryer).
Recycling a refrigerator or freezer earns $60 per unit, for up to two units and $120 per member account each year. An induction cooktop earns $350 in new construction or when replacing a propane or natural-gas cooktop, or $100 when replacing an electric cooktop. These are rebates for completed purchases or installed projects; discounted products can receive a reduced rebate.
Eligibility
- You must be an MCREA member consumer, and equipment must be installed on MCREA lines. Its northeastern Colorado service territory includes parts of Adams, Arapahoe, Logan, Morgan, Washington and Weld counties; a location in one of these counties must still be served by MCREA.
- Clothes dryers must be ENERGY STAR certified: choose a model carrying this certification and provide its make and model in your claim. Induction cooktops must have a surface width of at least 30 inches. For a cooktop replacing propane or natural gas, provide a photograph of the old cooktop.
- New equipment only: used or refurbished purchases and installations are ineligible. Free products do not qualify, and a discount may reduce the rebate.
- Rebates are limited to one per account per year unless otherwise stated. Refrigerator/freezer recycling has the specific allowance of two units, with a maximum $120 per member account per year.
- The purchase or installation must be complete. You need paid receipts and any other documentation requested on the application.
