Residential energy-efficiency rebates
Current residential members can receive electricity-bill credits for qualifying new ENERGY STAR-certified refrigerators, freezers and washing machines.
Esta oportunidade está atualmente disponível em inglês.
North Central Electric Cooperative credits your monthly electricity bill after a qualifying home upgrade. This entry covers the appliance route within its residential rebate programme.
The credit is $100 per qualifying refrigerator or freezer and $25 per qualifying washing machine. Refrigerators and freezers must be 10–30 cubic feet in size.
Eligibility
- You must be a current residential member of North Central Electric Cooperative. It serves parts of Crawford, Hancock, Huron, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot counties in north central Ohio; being in a county alone does not replace the membership requirement.
- Buy a new ENERGY STAR-certified appliance, meaning an appliance carrying the certification required by the cooperative, and provide proof of that certification. Used appliances do not qualify.
- Provide a copy of the purchase receipt and proof that the old refrigerator, freezer or washing machine was disposed of properly.
- Submit the claim within 12 months of purchase. The new appliance must have been purchased within one year of the rebate request.
- A residential member home can receive rebates for at most two refrigerators and two freezers during the current programme year.
