Home energy audit weatherization rebate
Get 50% of audit-recommended home weatherization costs back, up to $750, as an eligible Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative member.

An energy audit identifies ways to reduce heating and cooling bills, including sealing air leaks and adding insulation. The cooperative reimburses half the cost of weatherization repairs or improvements recommended in its auditor’s report, up to $750.
The audit costs $50. Complete at least half of the recommended improvements within six months of the audit to receive the audit fee back and qualify for consideration for the weatherization rebate.
Eligibility
- You must be a Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative consumer-member with an eligible home service that purchases more than 6,000 kWh of electricity from the cooperative annually. The cooperative serves Buchanan, Caldwell, Clay, Clinton, DeKalb, Platte and Ray Counties in Missouri.
- You need a current energy audit completed through the cooperative, with specific recommendations for the work you claim.
- Only weatherization repairs and improvements qualify. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment and appliances are excluded.
- Complete at least 50% of the cooperative’s recommended improvements within six months of the audit.

- Submit the rebate form and receipt within 90 days of purchase.[^c6]
Return the Residential Energy Audit Form and your $50 payment to Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative. Before the visit, fill in the member information and the existing-condition columns; the auditor completes the recommendations. After completing the recommended weatherization work, complete and sign the rebate form, include your account number and a copy of the original dated sales receipt, and submit it within 90 days of purchase. Email it to mail@pcec.coop or mail it to Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative, ATTN. Rebate Program, P.O. Box 100, Kearney, MO 64060. Incomplete applications are not processed; allow 30 days for processing and keep a copy for your records.
You certify that the repairs were completed at the address where the audit took place and agree to let the cooperative verify them. Recipients may also be invited to a future survey.
