Rain barrel rebate
A CAD 50 rebate for Antigonish residents who buy and install a new rain barrel at a property they own or rent in town.

Collect rainwater for outdoor watering and reduce your use of municipal water during dry-weather conservation periods. The rebate pays CAD 50 towards a new rain barrel, with one rebate per household.
The Town has allocated CAD 2,500 for the 2026–2027 programme year. Claims are served in the order received until that funding is distributed.
The Town does not take responsibility for your chosen barrel or its quality, installation, maintenance, filling or operation.
Eligibility
- You must live in the Town of Antigonish and own or rent a property within Town limits.
- Your rain barrel must be new and purchased after 1 April 2026.
- Install the barrel at the Town property address declared on your application before making the signed declaration.
- Only one rebate is available per household.

- Claims are first-come, first-served until the CAD 2,500 programme allocation is distributed; one CAD 50 rebate per household.
- Only new rain barrels purchased after 1 April 2026 qualify. Install the barrel at the declared Town address before signing the claim.
Complete the rain barrel rebate application form and sign and date the declaration confirming that you own or rent the Town property and have bought and installed the barrel there.
Present the completed form and purchase receipt at Town Hall, 274 Main Street, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Your receipt must show the vendor name, purchase date, item description and price.
Choose payment by cheque or electronic funds transfer on the form. Give a mailing address for a cheque, or attach a copy of a void cheque for electronic transfer.
