Kraftwerk Kloten — solar grants for existing buildings
Property owners can receive up to CHF 15,000 from the City of Kloten for solar electricity installations on existing buildings, including independently arranged projects.
Această oportunitate este disponibilă momentan în limba engleză.
You can get support for a photovoltaic (PV) system on an existing building in Kloten. The city pays CHF 4,400 plus a performance contribution equal to 100% of the federal Pronovo one-off award, with the total city payment capped at CHF 15,000 per building insurance number (Assekuranz-Nummer). The city pays only once for each such number. This is additional to the federal award, rather than reimbursement of all installation costs.
You can arrange the installation independently and still apply for the city grant.
Eligibility
- You must be a property owner installing PV on an existing building in Kloten.
- The system must have at least 2 kilowatts peak (kWp), the rated peak generating capacity, and must successfully complete the federal Pronovo one-off grant process.
- The acceptance protocol must show that the system was built between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2026.
- A city grant is available only once per building insurance number. Funds are limited, and claims are considered in the order the city receives the definitive federal award decision.

Apply for the federal one-off PV grant through Pronovo. Once you have its definitive award decision, email that decision to the City of Kloten at raum-umwelt@kloten.ch to register an independently arranged installation for city support. The city must receive your claim by 31 December 2027; the earlier installation cutoff still applies. The Raum und Umwelt department assesses the application and makes the final grant decision.
