Reddito Energetico Nazionale

GSEItaliapână la 11 K EURindisponibil

A grant for low-income households in Italy to install solar panels for electricity used at home.

Această oportunitate este disponibilă momentan în limba engleză.

The 2025 offer covers a new solar installation together with at least ten years of maintenance, performance monitoring and insurance against multiple risks. GSE pays the installer directly. The installer must not charge you for eligible costs or request an advance.

Support is capped at €2,000 plus €1,500 for each kW used to calculate the grant, up to €11,000 for 6 kW. Payment is limited to eligible invoiced costs; if funded capacity is lower than installed capacity, the eligible invoice is reduced in the same proportion before applying the cap.

You use the electricity generated at home. For 20 years from the installation entering operation, you give GSE the surplus electricity exported to the grid and its revenue, which goes back into the fund.

Eligibility

  • You must have a valid ISEE certificate, the official measure used to assess your household’s financial situation. Your ISEE must be below €15,000, or below €30,000 if your household has at least four dependent children.
  • You must own the installation site or hold another qualifying property right: superficie, enfiteusi, usufrutto, uso or abitazione. Shared ownership or shared rights qualify. These are rights over the property; a rental contract alone is insufficient.
  • The home must be your household’s registered residence in Italy. You or another member of your ISEE household must hold its active domestic resident electricity contract, with contracted supply capacity no higher than 6 kW when the application is submitted. No electricity-generating plant may already be connected at that connection point.
  • In Italy’s property register (catasto), the home must be classified in group A, excluding A1, A8, A9 and A10. The installation cannot be used to meet a building’s mandatory renewable-energy quota, including during major renovation.
  • The capacity used to calculate support must be between 2 and 6 kW and no higher than the contracted supply capacity at the time of application. The 2025 rules allow installed capacity up to 110% of contracted supply capacity plus 0.7 kW; exceeding that limit removes entitlement. For a 6 kW supply, an installation up to 7.3 kW can qualify, but support covers at most 6 kW. An increase of up to 0.2 kW above the capacity reserved in the application can count towards payment within the supply limit; larger increases are not fully funded.
  • A person and their household may receive the grant only once. You cannot combine it with other public incentives for the same eligible costs. Batteries and electric vehicle chargers are excluded from grant costs, but you may install them at your own expense.

If ownership changes during the 20-year commitment, the successor must accept the programme obligations. Otherwise, part of the benefit must be returned, based on the remaining commitment period.

  • Historical 2025 call; closed. Applications were accepted in submission order and could close earlier when regional funds ran out.[^c3][^c23]

The 2025 application window has closed. It ended no later than 31 December 2025, with earlier closure possible when funds ran out.

For that call, you first selected a qualified installer who visited the site and provided a quote. Applications went through the Reddito Energetico Nazionale – REN service in GSE’s Area Clienti, with the installer’s support and acceptance of the programme contract. GSE assessed applications in submission order within each geographical allocation.

The installation must enter operation after the application is submitted. Approved projects must meet the connection and entry-into-operation deadline attached to the programme. After connection and operation, the installer requests payment through REN within 60 days of entry into operation.
