Borrow for a solar energy system for your home through asset finance, a personal loan or an existing Nedbank Namibia home loan.

Nedbank Namibia lends money to finance a renewable energy system for your home. You repay the borrowing; the bank assesses what you can afford and sets interest according to your risk profile.
- Asset finance is repaid over 48 months and requires a 10% deposit.
- The personal-loan route offers up to N$250,000, with repayment terms from 12 to 60 months.
- If you already have a Nedbank home loan, you can seek extra borrowing through that home loan, subject to the conditions below.
Eligibility
The bank checks whether you can afford the repayments, your creditworthiness and your proven track record. Switching your salary payments to Nedbank can provide lower interest rates and additional benefits.
For the personal-loan route, you must live in Namibia, be at least 18 and have good credit health.
For the existing-home-loan route, the bank lists all of these conditions: your home has increased in value since the original loan; the loan funds improvements that increase its value; and the amount originally registered for your home loan (your bond) was greater than you needed. A second bond registers further borrowing against your property; a readvance means borrowing again within the total registered home-loan amount.
Provide a Namibian ID or valid passport, your latest payslip or proof of income, a personal income statement, a personal balance sheet and an insurance cover note. Commission earners must provide six months of payslips. If you are not already a Nedbank client, provide three months of bank statements.
For a personal loan, also provide your marriage certificate or antenuptial contract if applicable. If your marriage legally pools your property (married in community of property), provide the same documents for your spouse.
