Climate and resource protection grant
Grants for solar panels with battery storage at residential buildings in Neuburg an der Donau, for local residents, associations and foundations.
Această oportunitate este disponibilă momentan în limba engleză.
The solar-and-battery route within the city’s climate and resource protection programme pays €50 per kilowatt-peak (kWp) of solar panel capacity, up to €400. A qualifying 2 kWp system therefore receives €100. This is a grant you do not repay.
Your new system must have 2–30 kWp of panel capacity and a battery with at least 4 kWh of usable storage according to its manufacturer. Ground-mounted solar systems are excluded.
Eligibility
You must have your main residence in Neuburg an der Donau. Associations and foundations must be based there. Local condominium owners’ associations can qualify where their members have their main residence in Neuburg. For this route, you must own the solar installation and the building where it is installed. The building must be in the city.
The system must serve a residential or ancillary building. If the building also supports business activity, private use must predominate. New equipment must be commercially available and mass-produced; extensions of existing systems are excluded. Operate the funded installation at the location named in your application for at least five years.
A specialist contractor must carry out the work. Work done mainly by yourself does not qualify, except that more self-performed work is allowed if you can prove you learned the trade with a journeyman or master craftsman certificate. Costs paid by someone else and notional costs for your own labour do not qualify.
Manufacturers of the equipment or its components, people who design, install or trade it, and family members living in their household are excluded. You can receive support only once per household and measure. Previous support under the city’s Positivliste scheme, or another municipal subsidy for the same measure, excludes support. The application also requires a declaration that you have not previously received city funding for solar installations.
You cannot combine this solar-and-battery grant with the city’s citizen solar power plant grant or electric-car-and-solar combination bonus. The city’s plus-energy-house grant also cannot be combined with this route. Other public bodies’ grants are not deducted by the city; their own rules still apply. The form states that city-funded measures cannot also receive the income-tax reductions it cites under EStG sections 35a and 35c.

Use the solar-and-battery application form and submit the original signed application to Stadt Neuburg an der Donau, Sachgebiet Umwelt, Landschaftsstraße A 116, 86633 Neuburg an der Donau. Apply within nine months after the installation is ready to operate.
Include the contractor declaration, a detailed invoice for the panels, battery and installation, and registration confirmations from the Bundesnetzagentur’s Marktstammdatenregister for both the solar unit and battery. The contractor declaration must be submitted in original; the invoice may be a copy or original and must be in your name. Notify the city promptly of later changes or facts that matter for the grant.
The city pays after checking the application, invoices and required documents. Complete applications are processed in order of receipt, within the available budget, with no entitlement to a grant. If funds run out, applications do not carry over to the next year; only measures implemented in that next year can then be funded.
If the rules change, the version in force when your solar system becomes ready to operate determines its terms. If a category is removed from the programme, support for it ends when the new rules take effect.
