Green mortgage

SpareBank 1 Ringerike HadelandNorvegia

A mortgage with a lower rate than the bank’s ordinary mortgage for households buying or owning an energy-class A home.

Această oportunitate este disponibilă momentan în limba engleză.

This entry covers homes with an energy certificate showing class A. The mortgage is secured against the home and can be repaid over up to 30 years.

As checked on 12 October 2026, the nominal interest rate starts at 5.19%. The bank assesses your rate individually from the security and your ability to repay. Its example for a NOK 2 million loan repaid over 30 years has an effective rate of 5.38%, including fees, and total payments of NOK 3,971,930. Those payments repay the borrowed money as well as interest and fees. The tariff announces a nominal rate from 5.44% and example effective rate of 5.63% from 1 December 2026.

The example uses a NOK 2,000 establishment fee, NOK 1,000 depot fee and NOK 50 per payment. The general mortgage tariff lists establishment costs of NOK 2,000–5,000 and depot costs from NOK 1,000, plus NOK 500 when a guarantor or property guarantee is used. Automatic debit costs NOK 50 without a notice or NOK 70 with a notice; a mailed payment slip costs NOK 80.

Eligibility

  • The home must have energy class A for the route described here. Submit its energy certificate so the bank can approve the green mortgage.
  • The bank carries out its ordinary credit assessment. Normally you need at least 10% own funds and must cover purchase costs separately. The published borrowing rule is a maximum of five times income, and you must be able to afford a rate increase of three percentage points or a rate of at least 7%.
  • The product page allows borrowing up to 90% of the purchase price. It says borrowing above that level may be possible with a guarantor. The green mortgage tariff quotes its rate for borrowing within 90% of the appraised value; your security and repayment ability determine the actual offer.
