Primary-school energy-saving grant

Gemeente WageningenȚările de Josse închide 1 nov. 2027

Municipal grant for energy-saving and renewable-energy improvements at primary schools in Wageningen that already have a DUMAVA award.

Această oportunitate este disponibilă momentan în limba engleză.

The grant tops up the national DUMAVA award for the same school-building measures. DUMAVA is the national grant for improving the sustainability of social-purpose buildings. This entry covers energy-saving and energy-generation work funded in 2026.

In 2026, the national and municipal grants together can cover up to 90% of the investment cost. For example, a DUMAVA award covering 40% allows a municipal top-up of up to 50%. There is no separate maximum per school or school building while the scheme has funds. The municipal scheme has a total ceiling of €641,587, without an annual ceiling. Complete applications are funded in arrival order; an application that would exceed the remaining ceiling receives a lower top-up.

The municipality pays the entire municipal award after granting it. The final grant amount is then determined from the expenditure, and money not spent must be repaid.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be the governing body of a publicly funded public or private primary school in Wageningen. The legal definition includes special primary schools under the Primary Education Act. A Wageningen branch can qualify even when its main school is in another municipality.
  • Buildings must primarily serve an educational function. Main buildings, additional sites and branches can qualify.
  • You must already have applied for and received a DUMAVA grant decision for the same measures. Attach that decision and the DUMAVA application. A new municipal application does not require an earlier Wageningen award.

Condițiile sesiunii de finanțare
  • For schools already holding a DUMAVA award for the same measures; complete applications funded in arrival order.[^c2][^c10]
  • 2026 funding terms; year-round municipal applications until the deadline, subject to the scheme budget.[^c3][^c4][^c5]

Apply through Gemeente Wageningen’s online form using eHerkenning, the organization login. Include the DUMAVA application and award decision. Applications are accepted throughout the year, subject to the budget, with a latest submission date of 1 November 2027. The funding percentage described here applies to 2026.

The municipal website reports a temporary fault affecting some web forms and says to try again later. For questions about the scheme, email jacqueline.oosterwijk@wageningen.nl or call (0317) 49 29 11.

Request the municipality’s final grant determination within two years of the award, or three years for an integrated project. A one-year extension is possible if the measures have not yet been completed. Supply the DUMAVA final determination as evidence of expenditure; it also establishes how much must be recovered.

Follow the duties in your award and provide information requested by the municipality. Do not transfer funded provisions without municipal consent, except a transfer to another school board resulting from a merger.

Under the general subsidy rules that apply to matters not covered by this scheme, notify the municipality immediately if the work or award duties will not be completed, or if actual income or spending differs materially from the budget; explain the cause of budget differences. Keep accounts and supporting records for seven years. The municipality can grant exemption from these incorporated duties. If volunteers are involved, ensure they are insured unless an exemption applies.

These general rules also require municipal permission for forming or joining a legal entity, changing statutes, transactions involving subsidized real estate, borrowing, providing security or guarantees, forming funds or reserves, changing fees for subsidized activities, dissolution, or filing for bankruptcy or suspension of payments, unless an exemption applies.

Compensation for asset value created by the subsidy can be due when funded assets are sold, encumbered or change use; when loss or damage brings compensation; when funded activities stop; when the subsidy is withdrawn or ended; or when the recipient dissolves. It is limited to the municipal subsidy’s contribution to that value. An approved continuation by another legal entity with assets and liabilities transferred at book value is exempt. Compensation must be assessed within one year of the municipality knowing or being able to know of the event and within five years of the last final grant determination.
