Replacement appliance rebates
Members with active electricity accounts can receive rebates for replacing existing appliances with ENERGY STAR certified models in the cooperative’s South Dakota service territory.

Get $100 for a replacement refrigerator or stand-alone freezer, or $50 for a replacement clothes washer, dryer or dishwasher. The new appliance must be ENERGY STAR certified.
Eligibility
You must be a Clay-Union Electric member with an active account within its service territory. The cooperative serves Clay County and parts of Yankton and Union counties in South Dakota.
- Replace an existing appliance with an ENERGY STAR certified model. Provide proof of the ENERGY STAR logo: an appliance without that logo does not qualify.
- Provide the purchase receipt and the brand and approximate age of the old appliance.
- For a refrigerator or freezer, also provide a landfill or retailer receipt showing that the old appliance was recycled.

- For active Clay-Union Electric member accounts within the cooperative’s service territory; replacement appliances must be ENERGY STAR certified.
Submit the appliance rebate request on Clay-Union Electric’s rebate page. Enter your membership name, the new appliance’s location and your contact details. Identify the replacement appliance and upload the purchase receipt and, for a refrigerator or freezer, the recycling receipt. Give the make, model and approximate age of the old appliance, and provide proof of its replacement’s ENERGY STAR logo.
